Interactive Intelligence ranked 16th overall; ranked 5th among technology companies INDIANAPOLIS, July 28, 2009 -- IFortune Small Business magazine has ranked global provider of unified IP business communications solutions, Interactive Intelligence (Nasdaq: ININ), among America’s 100 Fastest Growing Small Public Companies. The magazine ranked Interactive Intelligence 16th overall and 5th among its fastest growing technology companies. Interactive Intelligence achieved its ranking with 10.5 percent revenue growth from 2007 to 2008, and a 7.9 percent total return to investors based on a three-year annualized rate ending December 2008. “Despite a tough economy in 2008 we were able to sign an annual record number of 366 new customers,” said Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO, Dr. Donald E. Brown. “This really underlines the value our communications software brings by enabling businesses to do more with less. “We’re continuing to build on our strong performance by focusing on key initiatives this year, which include our communications-as-a-service business, and the launch of our business process automation product, which is designed to further squeeze out organizational inefficiencies,” Brown concluded. The Interactive Intelligence software gives contact centers and enterprises applications that help them manage phone, e-mail and online interactions. These applications include automatic call distribution, interactive voice response, unified messaging, Web chat, and more. Interactive Intelligence first released its all-in-one IP communications software suite in 1997 to eliminate the cost and complexity introduced by multipoint products. Today, the company gives its 3,000 global customers a comprehensive solution-set comprised of premise-based and hosted offerings, including software, hardware, consulting, support, education, and implementation services. The FSB 100 ranking, compiled by financial research firm Zacks, includes U.S.-based public companies with revenues of less than $200 million and a stock price of more than $1 based on percentage growth in earnings, revenue, and stock performance over the past three years. The FSB 100 list appears in the July/August issue of Fortune Small Business magazine, available online at http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fsb/fsb100/2009/index.html.
