01 December, 2005 Vonexus Wins INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine's Excellence Award Vonexus Inc., a global developer of all-Microsoft IP PBX systems, won INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine's Excellence Award for "delivering solutions that have shown positive, measurable results for the companies that have implemented them," according to publication editors. Vonexus, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Interactive Intelligence Inc. (Nasdaq: ININ), won the award for its Enterprise Interaction Center® (EIC) product, the first standards-based IP PBX to give small to medium-sized businesses productivity-enhancing voice/data applications converged on the Microsoft platform. EIC includes applications such as session initiation protocol (SIP)-based call processing, unified messaging, workgroup routing, conferencing, recording, auto attendant, and call forwarding, all pre-integrated with the most comprehensive set of Microsoft Business Solutions' applications, such as Great Plains, Navision, Microsoft Outlook and Exchange. INTERNET TELEPHONY selected EIC for its Excellence Award not only for the product's innovative feature set, but for its proven track record with customers. "It's easy to get caught up in the hype associated with VoIP these days," said INTERNET TELEPHONY's editorial director, Greg Galitzine. "Our awards were designed to separate the ‘me too' players from proven vendors by requiring customer references willing to talk." Vonexus customer, Illinois-based technology consulting firm, Access Technologies, shared with INTERNET TELEPHONY editors the results it experienced after deploying EIC.
